Sugary sweet vocals, infectious pop melodies, and contagiously positive songs, could only describe 23 year old Nashville based songwriter and performer Rachel Morgan Perry. Performing at venues all over the country, Rachel has shared the stage alongside national acts such as Teddy Gentry of Alabama, Chris Sligh of American Idol, and country music Opry performers such as Smithfield and Drew Baldridge.
Early this year Rachel released a full-length self-titled album featuring her unique sound branded as “sweet country.” Rachel’s record was produced by AGMA’s 2013 producer of the year, Donna King. “I really feel like the organic collaboration and musical understanding Donna and I have between one another can only be put as spiritual. My goal for this record was to make something that felt like magic- and I feel like we did just that,” says Rachel.
Rachel’s natural talent and genuine ability has gained recognition nationally. She has received honors such as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Honorable Mention, Tuscan Folk Festival First Runner Up, American Country Star Top 4 Finalist, Country Showdown Songwriting Finalist, and the First Place recipient of the Northern Colorado Night of the Stars. Rachel has also had the honor of having one of her songs (recorded by Zane and Donna King) reach Top Ten on the Southern Gospel radio charts.
Most recently, Rachel released her Christmas single “Anything is Possible” to XM Radio, iTunes, Spotify, and most other online stores.
Rachel’s music has an element of magic that has been known to leave listeners with an un-doubtable sparkle in their eyes. Rachel’s love for life, joyful spirit, and honeysuckle sweetness seems to ooze out of her talent and passion making her an artist that is one to watch.
